 Perfect finish especially for oily skin! March 19, 2007

BE's mineral veil is spectacular. If your pores are larger, apply first and your foundation will go on much smoother...apply at the end of your routine and you will not have to worry about having an oily, shiny face all day long! Don't even think about those oil blotting wipes anymore!

I might just have to order this three at a time... you can't imagine how light and natural this product is.. and believe me, i have worked for the higher end Fifth Avenue Cosmetic lines.... this is not to be believed until you own it and wear it for yourself.... you will love this product.. I am hooked!!! thank you, DT

I absolutely love the entire line of Bare Escentual products and this mineral veil has to be the MOST loved! Put it on over your foundation and it leaves your face looking soft and natural.
It really is so lightweight that you don't even know you are wearing makeup. I must agree with the previous reviewer that the claim B.E. makes about mineral veil covering/hiding pores, is rather false. While it does much improve the appearance of pores, it does not make them disappear, but what can? And B.E. does a much better job of making my skin look and feel beautiful than any other makeup I've ever tried.
I highly recommend this product! Try it with the Bare Escentuals foundation, you will not be disappointed!

This stuff is marvellous; you can put on as much as you need and it won't cake up, it blends right into your skin, and it doesn't have any weird sparkly pigments in it that make you look like some drunken 14-year-old at a rave.
The only complaint is that it doesn't last too long, at least not on my face which compares to the Middle East in its oil production; I have to touch it up again after an hour or so, and since it's a bit on the pricy side that is something of a nuisance.

The purpose of Mineral Veil is to set Bare Escentuals foundation and to finish your look with a dewy glow. To use, you tap a small amount into the lid of the packaging and rub a kabuki powder brush into it in a circular motion. The brush picks up the powder into the bristles, and you buff the brush into your face using the same circular motion. The product glides on smoothly - although it is a powder, it contains an extra ingredient that allows you to buff it on so that the finish is silky smooth. The infomercials claim that Mineral Veil makes your pores vanish, but this is an overstatement. It does a very good job of smoothing you over, but it doesn't completely hide your pores. One more thing: the original Mineral Veil is pinky-peach toned. I have yellow undertones and the product is great on me, but I'm not sure how it would work for someone who is olive toned or has darker skin. If your skin is olive toned or darker, you might consider trying the tinted version. It is a very good translucent powder though, and I highly recommend it.
*This extra ingredient is bismuth oxychloride and is only added for this purpose of helping the product glide on smoother. Because of the addition of this product, a lot of people are skeptical of BE's claim that their products are 100% pure.
